Aalaththi is a traditional Hindu welcome ritual performed by two married women from the bride’s family, blessing the groom as he enters the sacred wedding space. The ritual wards off negative energies and symbolizes protection, respect, and celebration. The groom is then led to the altar accompanied by the families and musicians playing the traditional instruments.
